The government of Vic puts a figure in dollars in the unpaid work of women

How much are the daily household chores, the cooked meals, the feeding hours, the change and the care of the children?
The Victorian government has endeavoured to put a price on these labours of love: $ 205 billion.
That's about half the value of Victoria's gross state product.
A study commissioned by the government has shown that Victorian women perform 63.2% of unpaid work in the state, approximately 1.7 times more than men.
The data, produced by Deloitte Access Economics, is part of the state government's efforts to address the gender pay gap, for which unpaid work is considered a contributing factor.

"Putting a dollar figure in domestic and unpaid care work means we can really value it," the Minister of Women, Natalie Hutchins, said on Saturday.
"When we value unpaid work, we are more likely to share it."
The government has commissioned workplace consultant Grace Papers a modest sum of $ 278,000 to advise managers and public sector employees on pregnancy navigation, parental leave and return to work.

Systemic biases at work and at home.

The executive director of the organization, Prue Gilbert, said that her company analyzes the professional and personal life of men and women, helping them to unravel systemic biases at work and at home.
"It is at the moment that people become parents that there is a reversion to traditional gender stereotypes around the caregiver mother and the father of the family," Gilbert told the AAP.
"There is a conversation at home about how to readjust when caregivers return to the workplace."
Ms. Gilbert said that her job is less about changing the individual, more about the system.
"The number one concern for first-time parents is job security," he said.
"Unless our policies change, we will not see that pressure relieved.
"If women's careers had better support, then men would not feel the same degree of pressure to be the breadwinner."
Grace Papers takes its name from the idea that "grace" is about seeing the potential of each individual, Gilbert said.
"Grace is a gift and becoming a father is a gift."
